In the fall of 2022, electricity prices skyrocketed, and the company realized they needed to take the energy issue very seriously. By measuring exactly how much energy was being used, the airflow could be controlled more intelligently according to the season \u2013 more incoming air in winter, more outgoing air in summer. This simple adjustment resulted in an annual saving of <strong>200 000<\/strong> kWh, corresponding to approximately <strong>300 000<\/strong> SEK.<\/p><p>Another important measure was the granulate feed to the 13 injection molding machines. The measurements showed that the existing machine, despite being only two years old, never went into standby mode automatically. By switching to a new machine that could switch itself off when not in use, energy consumption was reduced from 1500 kWh per week to 500 kWh. This corresponds to an annual saving of <strong>52 000<\/strong> kWh, or approximately <strong>75 000<\/strong> SEK.<\/p><p>The measurements also revealed that the new hardening furnace was not performing as expected. By analyzing detailed energy data from DAZOQ EI, Precifast and the supplier were able to understand that the higher energy efficiency is only achieved when the furnace is operated with multiple shelves at the same time. Without DAZOQ EI, the investment could have risked never becoming profitable. In addition, they could see that the two brazing and hardening furnaces were now contributing to the company's high power peaks when they were operated simultaneously. By scheduling the operation, these peaks of up to <strong>800<\/strong> kW was avoided, which resulted in an annual cost reduction of approximately <strong>25 000<\/strong> SEK.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-73470ca elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"73470ca\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-407eb02\" data-id=\"407eb02\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-08a5d14 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"08a5d14\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">MILLIONS IN SAVINGS<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-300eb5e elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"300eb5e\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-0d222eb\" data-id=\"0d222eb\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3d73c26 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"3d73c26\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>A more unexpected saving was identified thanks to an understanding of the company's future electricity needs. When Precifast planned to grow from five to thirteen injection molders, from one to two curing ovens, and at the same time move to two-shift operation, they first realized that this would require grid investments of around<strong> 6 million<\/strong> SEK. But those figures were based on the machines' maximum output \u2013 not the actual usage. Thanks to detailed measurement data from DAZOQ, it was possible to show that a significantly smaller investment of <strong>500 000<\/strong> SEK, which saved the company <strong>5,5<\/strong> <strong>million<\/strong> SEK in investment with depreciation that would burden the business with <strong>550 000<\/strong> SEK per year.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-86eb579 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"86eb579\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-e87b3a6\" data-id=\"e87b3a6\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-fd1a03b elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"fd1a03b\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">THE RESULT<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-f113786 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"f113786\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-ac8e6ce\" data-id=\"ac8e6ce\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3293aa7 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"3293aa7\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>In one year, Precifast has thus reduced its energy costs by over SEK 500,000 through direct energy savings, while avoiding unnecessary investments of SEK 5.5 million. In addition, the company appreciates the value of having \u201ca pair of external eyes\u201d who follow up quarterly, which ensures that the work on energy efficiency continues in the long term. As H\u00e5kan M\u00f6ller himself says: \u201cEnergy efficiency is not a sprint, but a marathon \u2013 and DAZOQ makes it possible to keep up the pace.\u201d<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section
