Safe working environment and protected production with real-time air quality measurement
Precifast is part of CalixKlippan-group, consisting of Calix, a leader in electric preheaters, and Preciform, an experienced manufacturer in plastics, metals and assembly, uses DAZOQ Energy Intelligence not only to measure energy consumption, but also to monitor air quality, temperature and humidity in real time.
The background is an active effort to optimize ventilation in the workshop. The changes have resulted in lower energy consumption, but at the same time placed higher demands on ensuring a good and stable working environment for the staff.
At the same time, parts of production are sensitive to excessive humidity, which risks damaging parts if they are exposed to the wrong climate.
“We get more or less robust products from the process and to increase
robustness we control the environment in production in this way" says Håkan Möller, Quality and Environmental Manager at Calix.
To meet both needs, we developed a simple and clear alarm system in DAZOQ:
• Real-time display of current humidity
• Visual status indication: green, yellow or red
• Clear thresholds linked to production tolerances
When the indicator turns yellow or red, operators immediately know that action is required, such as quickly moving sensitive parts to avoid damage.
The result is:
• Better control over the work environment
• Reduced risk of production damage
• Assurance that energy efficiency does not come at the expense of quality or personnel
