The information we collect
We only collect information that is necessary to deliver the best service we possibly can.
Information you provide when creating an account
To create an account and enable access to the DAZOQ system we ask for some company and personal information. Your email address is used for logging in to the software while your name and phone number are used for contacting purposes (such as reports and notifications).
Information we collect to improve our services
We collect additional data when you use our web application to identify errors, monitor which pages you find most valuable and which ones that might be in need of some improvement. For these reasons we collect:
- Your IP (Internet Protocol) address, collected by Matomo and processed anonymously
- The pages you view in our application, how often and for how long
- Errors that occur when you use our software
- The path you take through our application to understand how our users navigate the system
How we use the information
To deliver, maintain and improve our services
We use the data we collect such as your email address and chosen password to make sure you are an authenticated user of the DAZOQ system. We log errors that occur while you are using our software to be able to quickly investigate and solve the issue. We also track the path you take and how much time is spent on each screen to get a better understanding of how we might improve our services.
For customer support
If you encounter a problem while using our application or simply need help using it we can use the information we collect about you to help you.
To send notifications and communicate system updates
We use the contact details you have provided us with such as your email address to inform you about updates, releases and news about DAZOQ. You can unsubscribe from these notifications at any given time by sending us a message. We also provide you with energy reports and notifications via email.
How we store and keep your information secured
Information storage and security
Our sensors communicate through the EnOcean protocol by sending raw data to our gateways. The sensor data does not contain any sensitive data and can only be read using a device with the same EnOcean protocol.
Our gateways receive sensor data and is transmitting the information to our platform via WiFi/Ethernet. The gateway contains no privacy sensitive data and only raw measurements are securely sent using TLS.
We use data hosting services provided by AWS in the Stockholm, Sweden region to store all information we collect. All of our hosted services are secured using SSL. If you’d like to receive additional technical and/or security specifications you’re more than welcome to contact us.
While we take precautions to assure that our level of data security is as high as possible, it remains a fact that no computer system is completely impenetrable.
How long we keep information
All information concerning your account will be retained for as long as your account is active. Information about your use of the DAZOQ system is retained for a maximum period of 26 months.

GDPR data protection rights
To make sure you are fully aware of all your data protection rights your are entitled to, we list them below:
The right to access – You have the right to request copies of your personal data.
The right to rectification – You have the right to request that we correct any information you believe is inaccurate and/or complete the information you believe is incomplete.
The right to erasure – You have the right to request that we erase your personal data. Please note that we require some information such as email address to deliver our services to you.
The right to restrict and object processing – You have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal data. At the bottom of this page you can enable and disable the tracking for this website. Enabling and disabling tracking for the web application can be managed through our software. By disabling this option we will stop collecting and using information as mentioned in the section called “Information we collect to improve our services”. Please note that if you choose to opt out of tracking, we will need to introduce a cookie to know that you have disabled tracking.
The right to data portability – You have the right to request that we transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.

How we share information we collect
We never share personal information with other companies, organisations or individuals without your consent. We only share information with third parties that provide us with services essential for the functioning of our application, for example: hosting providers and databases. A detailed overview of our infrastructure landscape can be provided to you upon request. All of the parties we collaborate with also need to comply with European regulations.
Notice to end users
Our services are intended to be used by organizations. All agreements signed with us are between DAZOQ and the specific company/organization. For this reason in most cases your organization is the administrator and is responsible for your account. In these cases we may not have influence on all information that is kept about you related to our service. Your administrator might be allowed to access and update information about you in your account and to terminate your account. Please contact your organization or refer to your administrator’s organizational policies for more information.
